FinAp is an edtech startup focused on improving financial literacy through a mobile application. It addresses the long-term issue of low financial literacy in Slovakia, which results in high levels of personal debt, poor financial planning skills, and a lack of understanding of basic financial products across all age groups. FinAp tackles this problem using a modern, user-friendly, and accessible approach. The core of FinAp is based on microlearning and gamification, inspired by successful educational platforms such as Duolingo. Users learn through short daily lessons, interactive challenges, and real-life decision-making scenarios. The content is designed to be simple, practical, and immediately applicable to everyday financial situations, including managing income, budgeting, saving, responsible borrowing, and avoiding common financial traps. FinAp is built for a broad audience — from students to working adults — and focuses on building long-term financial habits rather than theoretical knowledge. The startup plans to operate on a freemium model with optional premium subscriptions and also sees strong potential in B2B partnerships with companies, schools, and institutions that aim to improve financial education and employee well-being. FinAp’s mission is to empower individuals to make better financial decisions and to positively impact overall financial health in society.
