Companies producing waste currently have limited options for managing these wastes. There are no recycling technologies for some types of waste. For this reason, companies are forced to dispose these wastes or landfill them in hazardous waste landfills, which is a financially demanding process. The goal of the RT hub is the development of new recycling technologies that enable the reduction of the volume of landfilled waste and at the same time to produce secondary raw materials that can be reused directly in the process of production. Mechanical, hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical processes are used for waste recycling. Currently, we are able to recover copper, zinc, tin, lead and other valuable and frequently used metals in industry from industrial waste.
