Development of the Startup center TUKE
The Startup center TUKE was opened in 2014, right after that the related startup support activities were initiated at the Technical University. The main goal of the center is to create a motivating environment that will help not only students and employees of TUKE, but also other inhabitants of the region in developing their innovative ideas and potential.
The Startup center TUKE offers startup support in various forms, according to their current needs. In particular, it offers the use of premises as part of the Startup center for free, further enables access to the equipment capacities of unique expect departments, laboratories and other facilities at the university. In addition, it offers help with formation of a business plan, acquiring partners, searching for potential investors as well as expert and mentoring support.
The selection of startups that become part of Startup center environment is carried out through a competition of innovative ideas called “Do you have an idea? Present your startup!”. Since 2014, more than 70 innovative projects have joined the competition and 44 promising startups were been given the opportunity to complete a 6-month pre-incubation phase.

The TUKE Startup center within the TUKE organizational structure is part of the University Science Park TECHNICOM (USP TECHNICOM).
