Our startup is developing a mobile app to serve high school or college students who are staying in a dorm. The app will have multiple functionalities, such as a summary of basic information about the dorm, important phone numbers of responsible persons in the dorm, news and updates, information about scheduled events, description of rooms in the dorm, services offered, notifications of power outages, reporting of breakdowns, and much more. The app will also include an advertising section where students can help each other. The aim is to make students more aware of the events, happenings. The app is meant to bring students together and make their sometimes uneasy stay in the hostel easier. Everyone has felt lost at some point, and this app could help students not get lost, whether physically in the network of endless dorm hallways or in the quanta of often confusing and incomplete information.
